The WFMA Lifetime Achievement Award

At each annual benefit concert, The World Folk Music Association presents its Lifetime Achievement Award to someone who has made sustained contributions to folk music over a period of many years.

On January 28th, 2006, at the 21th Annual WFMA Concert, the WFMA Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to for his many contributions to the folk music community for over 4 decades.


On January 14th, 2005, at the 20th Annual WFMA Benefit Weekend, the WFMA Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Dick Cerri for his many years of promoting folk music both on radio and through his leadership of the World Folk Music Association.


On January 16th, 2004, at the 19th Annual WFMA Benefit Weekend, the WFMA Lifetime Achievement Award was presented, posthumously, to Dave Van Ronk, a central figure in the Greenwich Village folk scene of the 1960s, who passed away in February, 2002 at the age of 65.
