17th Annual Benefit Weekend

The Birchmere, in Alexandria, VA was again the site for the 17th Annual WFMA Benefit Weekend, on January 18-19, 2002. The entire Benefit Weekend (co-sponsored by WFMA and World Hunger Year) featured a tribute to Among the folk stars who performed were Harry's brothers, and and Harry's daughter, Also appearing were George Wurzbach, and

Both the Friday, January 18th concert and the Saturday, January 19th concert featured tributes to with the members of Harry's family, Tom, Steve and Jen, performing on both evenings.

Pass the Music On, the CD containing highlights of this wonderful weekend of music, is now available.

Reserved seating ticket holders for the Saturday night show were invited to a reception with the performers following the show.

Concert attendees were also able to attend Chapinfest 2002, a series of free events held at the Headquarters Hotel on Saturday, January 19, and Sunday, January 20.

While normally presented during the Benefit Weekend, this year the WFMA Appreciation Award was presented at a Vic's Music Corner Concert on February 13, 2002.
