Once again,
opened the showcase with a fine set of many of their favorite songs, including, of course, some by John Denver and Bill Danoff.
followed with an entertaining set of songs from several of his numerous CDs.
After intermission,
Kensingston residents T.J. and Julie O'Malley (
) were joined by their son, Sean (from Hawaii).
They delighted the audience with their wide variety of material.
- Doris Justis and Sean McGhee are now celebrating 29 years of performing together as Side by Side.
Their close vocal harmonies and guitars back their original songs and original interpretations of the best songwriters.
The duo has shared the stage over the years with a "who's who" of folk performers, including the Chad Mitchell Trio, Bill Danoff,
Nanci Griffith, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Schooner Fare, Tom
Paxton, the Limeliters, Christine Lavin, to name a few!
They have performed on stages from the Kennedy Center to the Birchmere Music Hall and at Washington's Starland Café.
They continue to enthrall audiences with their exciting arrangements of new and old favorites.
This folk duo will charm you with warm and intimate songs that range from original contemporary sounds to classics from the 1960's.
