Tom Paxton Tribute ConcertSaturday, May 3, 2008Tom Paxton![]() Tom Paxton, accompanied by Paul Prestopino (below), treated the audience to three of his songs before taking his place of honor in the box seats. He wasted no time in getting the audience to sing along on How Beautiful Upon the Mountain and then had everyone laughing with one of his "short shelf life" songs, Under Sniper Fire, with the fire aimed, of course, at Hillary Clinton. Tom finished his set with a reminder of how over the last 40 years some things have not changed -- with an updated version of his anti-Vietnam War song Lyndon Johnson Told the Nation, now titled George W. Told the Nation. ![]() ![]() Go back to the Tom Paxton Tribute Concert picture page Go back to the Tom Paxton Tribute Concert main page |
