is a Chesapeake Bay area "string" band that plays an engagingly eclectic blend of original music, as well as unusual interpretations of well-known and lesser-know folk, gypsy jazz, country, bluegrass, blues, Texas swing, and gospel "covers."
The band is also known for its 3, 4 and 5-part vocal harmonies and fine instrumentation, as well as the fact that it donates all of its net income to Shepherd's Table in Silver Spring, Maryland, to help feed the hungry..
15, is a singer/songwriter from Gaithersburg, Maryland.
She has been singing for as long as she can remember and loves it!
At the age of six, Emily began singing in her school choir and in 5th grade began taking class guitar lessons.
She performed her first original work at the age of 11 in her school talent show.
She has continued to develop her singing, songwriting, and guitar skills, studying with Paul Hutchison, Bonnie Kunkel, and Gerry Kunkel.
Over the past few years, Emily has performed at multiple open mics, The Sandy Spring Strawberry Festival, The Louisa Agricultural Fair, Concert in the Woods, The Music Café, The World Folk Music Association Showcase, and opened for the groups Take Two and Shades of Grey.
Currently Emily is a homeschool student in 10th grade.
She helps lead youth worship with her church youth band and enjoys performing a wide range of music including jazz classics, classic rock, country, folk, and modern acoustic.
