-- a duo consisting of Tina Eck on flute and whistle and Keith Carr on bouzouki and banjo -- are trying to impersonate all of the definitions of their name with their music.  They met in the Washington DC session scene some years back and found that “flute and zouk” were a good instrumental match for what they love to play: traditional dance music from Ireland.  Jigs and reels, polkas and hornpipes, the occasional slow air or vocal number.   loves and tries to capture the essentials of Irish traditional music: boundless energy, wildness and melancholy.  They've been playing together since 2009 and have released three albums Lilt (2010), Onward (2011) and Little Falls (2013).

hit the music scene with their debut CD, Last One Out, in October of 2010.  On September 15, 2012, not quite two years later, they were performing at the legendary venue, The Birchmere, opening for Don McLean.  They have also opened for several other artists such as John McCutcheon, Catie Curtis, Christine Lavin and the Seldom Scene.  They've shared stages with Grace Pettis, Scott Ainslie, Tom Prasada-Rao, Cary Cooper, many other excellent performers.  In addition, they have received 19 songwriting awards and placements for songs on their two CD's.

Although is only three years old, husband and wife, Peter and Christal Prout, have been playing music for years. likes to call their sound "New Americana", as they feel it carries multiple musical influences, from old-time gospel, bluegrass, rootsy-folk, yet they feel it also has the edginess of the contemporary rock and pop music they grew up with.  Christal’s vocals are a cross between Celtic and southern “down-home”, and they soar over Peter’s tasteful vintage guitar, sounding just like her Scottish-Appalachian heritage.  Together, they are a magical and refreshing combination.  Their second CD, All That Mattered, was nominated for a WAMMIE award for Best Folk/Contemporary Recording of the Year.   also received a second WAMMIE nomination for Folk/Contemporary Group of the Year.  A third CD is currently in progress and is planned for release this year.
