Caryl P. Weiss arrived in Texas from her native Philadelphia in 1984, and has an extensive musical history. She has played 36 instruments, but now concentrates on guitar, banjo, mandolin, and bass. She has performed in 25 states and 12 countries, both solo and in various bands. She's released five solo albums. Caryl won the 1990 Austin songwriter's Competition, and has been honored with various other awards. She now resides on the Chesapeake Bay and is working on a new solo album, of mostly original compositions.
