Tanya Savory’s songs and style have often drawn comparisons to Michelle Shocked and Nanci Griffith. Her songs reflect her own life experiences. Her multi-regional sound and personal, conversational approach work to create a style that is truly her own. Her accomplishments include winning the 1996 Kerrville New Songwriting Competition and the Emerging Songwriter Competition at the Napa Valley Music Festival in 1994. Tanya's debut album, Better Shade of Green reached #10 on the Gavin Americana Chart where it remained in the top 13 for 10 weeks.
