Stephanie De Lage's involvement in acoustic music started in her childhood in the French Creole community near Baton Rouge and continues with her performing and songwriting of love, family and hardships along the road. Les Thompson has a diverse musical background, notably as an original founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and has played with numerous recording and performing musicians in the traditional and folk world. The duo's natural feel and love for traditional acoustic music are well illuminated in their unique blend of voice and finger style guitar. Their song "What Kind of Person" is the lead cut on Bottleneck Dreams, the most recent album by acclaimed bluegrass group Salamander Crossing, and will be featured on a compilation CD in New Country magazine in the summer of 1998.
