whom Odetta had supported at his first Carnegie Hall concert recital, sang a powerful, a cappella rendition of a song Odetta recorded over fifty years ago, "God is Gonna Cut You Down". began his set with a beautiful rendition of "Shenadoah" and then told a very funny story about his delema dealing with lipstick on his collar (just as Connie Frances described) from a friendly kiss from Odetta. He then finished up with "What Month was Jesus Born In?".

All the way from Scotland, a wonderful singer/songwriter and fiddler, honored Odetta by performing Billy Joel's "Roberta".

Early in Odetta's career she had been called "The Female Leadbelly", and to end the first half of the show, all of the performers who appeared in the first half gathered on stage to sing one of Leadbelly's songs that Odetta brought to the masses around the world, "Midnight Special".
