From Severna Park MD, Mary Byrd Brown has been performing in the Mid-Atlantic region since 1979. Her passionate, soul-crafted song writing demonstrates a slippery shuffle between folk and blues/rock. Chesapeake Entertainment Guide says "This singer/songwriter has a voice as strong as Judy Collins and a delivery as inventive as Joni Mitchell...her stabs at social commentary speak volumes, as much by her unique delivery as the pointed lyrics". Her first CD, First Gear, became available in April, 1997.
